Four things to expect as Davido takes the O2 Arena today

Nigerian hitmaker, Davido, is set to headline his sold-out concert tagged ‘We Rise By Lifting Others’ at London’s O2 arena by 9pm today. This marks his second appearance at the arena since 2019 and as usual, we are holding our breaths for what promises to be one of the biggest concerts of 2022.

Here are four things we are anticipating from today’s concert:

  • The Energy of a Superstar

OBO is famous for the untethered and energetic performances at his shows. His passion for his art is very evident in the amount of vigour he displays as he per. He always brings his A- game and we don’t expect any less tonight.

  • Star Power

Davido’s mantra is ‘We rise by lifting others’ and he lives by that. He is known for his benevolence towards artists and the general public. He comes through for people and as we’ve recently seen, they come through for him as well. Today’s performance is no exception, it’s still unclear what the lineup will be, but we can predict performances from Ajebo Hustlers, Lojay, Tiwa Savage, Peruzzi, Mayorkun, Dremo, Zinoleesky, Bad Boy Timz, MohBad and the rest.

  • Surprise, Surprise!

One of our favourite things about Davido is how he LOVES to pull surprises during his shows. He always has a trick up his sleeve and we love it. Few years ago, he brought out Wizkid for a performance in Lagos, he reunited Nigeria’s beloved Mo-Hits record at another performance. Just last year, rising act Victony took his first steps at Davido’s concert after an accident left him in a wheelchair. Not sure what this show’s surprise will be but we can’t wait.
